Our mission is to understand from industry professionals how to make recruitment into work better for autistic people.
We believe that many autistic people have skills and qualities that would be an asset to employers. Skills like attention to detail, the capacity to focus on tasks for long periods of time, systematic thinking, honesty and integrity, and creative problem-solving.
Our team, made up of autistic and non-autistic members, offers free training to employers in their work setting with a specific focus on recruitment processes. Our input includes some background about the different ways that autistic people might perceive the world and interact with others but also engages participants in active learning around job adverts, interview questions, feedback and on-boarding processes.
At end of the training we will signpost further resources and provision that is available to you for enabling your company to hire more inclusively.
In return for this free training, all that we ask is that you commit to participating in an individual interview or focus group as a team to help us learn more, from an industry perspective, what the challenges and solutions might be around employing autistic people. We typically try to arrange this prior to the training as it can also help us plan what will be most relevant to your setting.
