Who is it for?
The PRO Autism employability course is designed for autistic university students and graduates but may be useful to any autistic person looking to move into employment.
Where can I access it?
The online course is hosted on the online learning platform Udemy. You can access it anywhere you have internet via your phone, computer or tablet.
How much does it cost?
It is completely free to you to use although you will need to create a login to access it.
What is involved?
The course is broken down into 5 main sections:
(1) Knowing yourself and your autism
(2) Planning your career path
(3) Sharing your autism with others
(4) Asking for reasonable adjustments
(5) Preparing for interviews.
Each section contains short instructive videos and worksheets / resources to complete.
How long will it take?
It is estimated that it will take between 3-5 hours to complete the course but you don’t have to do it all at once and can leave it and return to it.
What can I do with it?
Having completed the course you will, hopefully, be better prepared to look for jobs that are right for you and have a good sense of what is involved in the process of applying and interviewing for roles.
You will be invited to join a LinkedIn group of peers with whom you can share tips, job opportunities, and offer support.
